Rape-accused Uber cab driver Shiv Kumar Yadav Monday moved an application in a court here seeking to recall some prosecution witnesses in the case for further cross examination.
Yadav's defence counsel Dharmender Mishra told Additional Sessions Judge Kaveri Baweja that the lawyer who was previously associated with him was not compete enough to defend him.
He needed certain clarifications from the prosecution witnesses and therefore further cross examination is necessary, he said.
However, Special Public Prosecutor Atul Shrivastava opposed his plea and said that defence is trying to delay the trial in the case.
Meanwhile the court reserved its order on the plea and fixed Feb 18 for delivering order.
