UP Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma on Thursday held a review meeting at the Agra Circuit House and said the priority of the new government was transparency and efficient governance.
Speaking at the meeting, after a visit to inner city areas to oversee the cleanliness drive, Sharma directed the district administration to launch a comprehensive anti-encroachment drive and free the roads of all illegal obstructions.
CCTV cameras have to be installed at all important centres and civil defence personnel should be mobilised for traffic management, he said.
Reviewing the law and order situation in the district, Sharma directed the administration to free all community ponds and identify land mafiosi for effective action.
Two doctors would now be posted at the post mortem centre from morning till evening, to ensure people did not have to pointlessly run around and face avoidable inconveniences, he said.
A committee headed by the divisional commissioner will work out plans for door-to-door collection of garbage. Sharma instructed the municipal officials to clean up all the drains before monsoon.
