The BJP-led government in Uttar Pradesh on Monday brought out a White Paper on its predecessors and accused them of "presiding over anarchy" in the state and causing total collapse of the state economy.
Reeling out statistics at a press conference here, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said loan dues of Public Sector Units in Uttar Pradesh stood at Rs 35,952.78 crore in 2011-12 but rose to a whopping Rs 75,950.27 crore by 2015-16. The state's fiscal deficit has been above three per cent, he added.
The Chief Minister said as against Rs 13,804 crore earmarked for minorities' welfare between 2012-13 and 2016-17, Rs 4,830 crore remained unspent.
He charged the earlier state governments led by the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party of "plundering" the state coffers and giving a go-by to public welfare and development of Uttar Pradesh.
Accusing the previous governments of financial mess and chaos, Adityanath said total government loans as on March 31, 2007, were pegged at Rs 1,34,915 crore but rose to a staggering Rs 3,74,775 crore by March 31, 2017.

The White Paper delves on other aspects of governance like law and order, farmers' condition, sale of sugar mills, working of Public Works Department and alleged bias in giving state government jobs.
It also details alleged shoddy working of the departments of Food and Civil Supplies, Women and Child Welfare, Civil Aviation, Excise and Housing and Urban Planning.
The Chief Minister said when the BJP-led state government was sworn in on March 19, it promised to usher in the rule of law, waive crop loans of farmers, generate employment and provide an environment conducive to industry.
"We are working in this direction and all efforts will be made to ensure all-round development and that the weaker sections, the marginalised, get their due and fair share," Adityanath said.
