Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya's birth anniversary Thursday said the BJP ideologue's mantra of "integral humanism" remains to be a guiding force for all.
"We bow to our inspiration and guide... on his birth anniversary. His was a life dedicated towards serving society," Modi tweeted.
"The mantra of integral humanism that was given by Deendayal-ji remains a guiding force for all of us," said another tweet.
"We are committed to fulfilling Deendayal-ji's vision of serving the very last person in the queue to build a developed and just India."
Upadhyaya, who died Feb 11, 1968 was the leader of Bharatiya Jana Sangh from 1953 to 1968. Integral Humanism, which he conceived, went on to become the guiding philosophy of the successor Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
