Approaching his first 100 days in White House, US President Donald Trump suffers from a historically low approval rating, but almost all supporters voting for him last year remain firmly loyal to him, a survey said.
According to an ABC News/Washington Post poll released on Sunday, only 42 per cent of Americans say they approve of the job Trump is doing, compared to 53 per cent who disapprove.
However, 96 per cent of those who voted for Trump in November say it was the right decision. Just two per cent say they regret their decision, Xinhua news agency quoted the poll findings.
A majority of Americans said the President does not have the judgment and temperament to effectively serve in his post. About 60 per cent have questions about Trump's honesty and trustworthiness and think he is out of touch with the country.
More than half of Americans say Trump hasn't accomplished much in his first 100 days in office.
Nearly three-quarters of respondents, however, approve of the President pressuring companies to keep jobs in the country and a majority views Trump as a strong leader.
