A 17-year-old girl and two men were arrested for allegedly killing a married couple and their friend in California, media reports said.

Responding to a 911 call, on September 24 police discovered Christopher Yost, Jennifer Goodwill Yost and their 28-year-old friend William Boucher dead in a house in Fullerton, California. Their two girls, 6 and 9, were found unharmed, one of whom had alerted the police.

Josh Acosta, 21, Frank Felix, 25, and a 17-year-old girl were arrested by police on Sunday and booked into jail for investigation of murder.

"We hope the quick arrest of these individuals will bring comfort to the community and assist the friends and family of those affected by this unthinkable crime," USA Today reported police spokesperson Jon Radus as saying.

Radus did not disclose a motive but added that the killings were not random and the victims knew their attackers.

Radus said the couple's 17-year-old daughter Katlynn Goodwill Yost, who went missing after police found the bodies, was found safe and unharmed, CNN reported.

It remains unclear if she is the same girl who has been taken into custody.
