The US would host the 2016 Copa America June 3-26, officials said.
South American ruling body CONMEBOL, along with the CONCACAF, its counterpart for North and Central America and the Caribbean, made the announcement Thursday, reports Xinhua.
It will be the first time the 100-year-old tournament will be held in North America.
The 2016 edition will mark the 100th anniversary of the tournament and also the foundation of CONMEBOL.
The 2015 and 2019 Copas, which were scheduled to be held in Chile and Brazil respectively, would take place as planned.
