Utkarsh Arora delivered a brilliant performance at the recently concluded Junior Delhi State Badminton Championships by winning titles in all the three categories he participated in.
The 17-year-old, who trains at the Surjit Singh Badminton Academy, clinched the Under-19 boys singles, U-19 boys doubles and U-19 mixed doubles titles at the Ludlow Castle school here Saturday.
Top seed Utkarsh defeated Kaustabh Rawat 21-11, 22-20 in the boys singles final while Kanika Kanwal beat Pranjal Taneja 21-9, 21-14 to take home the U-19 girls singles crown. Kanika also went on to win the U-17 girls singles category by drubbing Namita Pathania 21-5, 21-15 in the summit clash.
Though Kaustabh lost the U-19 final, he beat Arjun Gupta 21-17, 21-16 in the U-17 boys singles final to win the championship.
The tournament was held under the aegis of Delhi Capital Badminton Association.
