Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has been ruled out for four to six weeks with a sprained knee.
The 30-year-old Dutchman sustained the injury after scoring a hat-trick against Olympiakos in the Champions League Wednesday, reports Xinhua.
"Following further investigation, Robin van Persie has a sprained knee, which will keep him out for around four to six weeks," said the club Friday night.
United were paired with Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarterfinals and Van Persie will miss both legs of the tie against the defending champions.
