Spain's Garbine Muguruza bowed out of the Australian Open going down to American tennis player Coco Vandeweghe 4-6, 0-6 in the quarterfinals here on Tuesday.
World No.seven Muguruza praised the World No.35 American who ousted her from the tournament, reports Efe.
"I was surprised. I think she played unbelievable. Her serve, her shots were there. She barely missed. So it was a pretty good performance from her," Muguruza was quoted as saying by WTA's official website .
Vandeweghe, who advances to the semifinals for the first time, will now take on compatriot Venus Williams.
