In fine form this season, Varun Venkat bagged the boys' singles title at the Noah Tennis Academy's AITA Under-18 Talent Series Championship here Monday.
The fifth seeded Karnataka boy, who was a singles finalist at last week's AITA's U-16 event here, defeated state-mate and southpaw C.H. Arjun 6-2, 6-3 in the final.
Earlier in a hard fought semi-final, Varun had rallied to beat Bharath Nishok Kumar 3-6, 7-5, 7-6(10) while Arjun humbled Arjun M. 6-2, 6-1.
Swathishi Suresh of Tamil Nadu emerged the girls' singles champion, beating Rhea Rosa John 6-3, 6-3 in the final.
