England's Michael Gault Monday announced his retirement from competitive shooting after equalling the all-time Commonwealth Games medals tally.
Sixty-year-old Gault claimed the bronze in the men's 10-metre air pistol event Saturday but failed to qualify for Monday's 50m pistol final.
However, despite the failure, Gault is equal with Australian Phillip Adams on 18 Commonwealth Games medals.
Gault came out of retirement in a bid to break Adams' record in the Commonwealth Games here.
