Veteran Peruvian striker Claudio Pizarro will renew his contract with Bundesliga side Werder Bremen, German media reports say.
Bremen general manager Thomas Eichin has said that negotiations are ongoing with Pizarro, who scored 14 Bundesliga goals this season, reports Efe.
After the expiry of his Bayern Munich contract in 2015, the 37-year-old returned to Bremen last year, where he had played in 1999-2000 and 2008-12.
Werder Bremen, who survived the relegation zone in the final stretch of the season, also plan to keep their coach Viktor Skripnik. His contract expires in 2017.
