Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Ashok Singhal was admitted to a private hospital here after he complained of breathlessness late Tuesday.
According to doctors, Singhal's condition is stable, but he is under constant observation.
Singhal was in Uttar Pradesh's Allahabad town for 'Navratri puja'. He was brought to the hospital by an air ambulance.
He complained of breathlessness while performing a 'hawan' for the puja, party leaders said.
