The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Friday sought action against Jaish-e-Mohammad, the Pakistan-based terror outfit which claimed responsibility for a suicide bombing in Jammu and Kashmir which killed 45 CRPF troopers, and demanded destruction of terrorist bases in Pakistan.
VHP President Alok Kumar said in a statement: "We believe the Indian government will respond to the attack resolutely, firmly and effectively. It is not a pseudo war, but a direct war (by Pakistan). We expect the government will respond in the same way.
"Jaish-e-Mohammad is a Pakistan-based and Pakistan-backed outfit. Efforts to declare it a terrorist organisation have been vetoed at the UN by China. The nexus must be broken and the terrorist bases in Pakistan must be destroyed," he said.
