For the first time in international football, video refereeing will be tried in a friendly match between Italy and France in Bari on September 1.
International Football Association Board (IFAB), the body which governs the rules of the game, supports the tests. And an extra assistant referee will communicate with the on-pitch referee during the game, world football governing body FIFA said on Friday, reports Xinhua.
Video tests have been used in the third tier of the United States since July.
