Wales defender Neil Taylor was suspended on Wednesday for two matches for his leg-breaking tackle of Ireland captain Seamus Coleman during a 2018 football World Cup qualifier draw in Dublin in March.
Taylor, 28, received a red card for the horrifying challenge and was handed an automatic one-match ban, reports Efe.
"Following a meeting of FIFA's Disciplinary Committee, the FAW can confirm that Neil Taylor has been suspended for two matches," the Football Association of Wales (FAW) said in a statement.
"Following his sending off against Republic of Ireland during a FIFA World Cup qualifying match in March, Taylor is regarded as having breached Article 48 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code," FAW added.
The Aston Villa defender will miss Wales' upcoming two qualifiers against Serbia in June and Austria in September.
