"A mainly clear sky is likely to become partly cloudy afternoon or evening onwards," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
The day's minimum temperature settled one notch above the season's average at 26.2 degrees Celsius.
Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 34 percent.
Delhi Thursday experienced the hottest May 1 after 2010 as the maximum temperature settled four notches above the season's average at 42.8 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature settled one notch below the season's average at 24.2 degrees Celsius.
