The national capital experienced a warm Sunday following a foggy and cloudy morning, with the maximum temperature settling two notches above the season's average at 22.5 degrees Celsius, the Met office said. The weather office has forecast a foggy Monday morning.
"There would be shallow fog in the morning on Monday and the day ahead would be partly cloudy," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 24 and 8 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Sunday's minimum temperature settled at 7.6 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average while the maximum humidity of the day was 94 percent.
Many people could be seen enjoying the warm Sunday pinicking at various places in the national capital on the welcome sunny day. The intense cold, usually experienced around this time of the year, is yet to grip the city.
Saturday's minimum temperature settled at 5.5 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average, while the maximum temperature was recorded at 21.5 degrees Celsius, a notch above the average for this time of the season.
