Warner Bros trademarks book titles in 'Harry Potter'

It's known that author J.K. Rowling has teamed up with Warner Bros. to make her screenwriting debut, writing a Harry Potter spinoff series based on her 2001 book "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them". Now comes the news that the studio has reportedly trademarked additional book titles referenced in the "Harry Potter" novels.

Warner Bros. has reportedly trademarked book titles that have been referred in the "Harry Potter" novels by J.K. Rowling.

The studio has already trademarked "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", as well as the novel's fictitious author, Newt Scamander. They have added additional titles, including "Tales of Beedle the Bard" and "Quidditch Through The Ages", reports eonline.com.

 

According to Telegraph reports, the studio has trademarked the Quidditch team names Wimbourne Wasps, Chudley Cannons and Kenmare Kestrels, as well as the name of the fictitious Quidditch expert Kennilworthy Whisp.
