Veteran actor Shabana Azmi watched the upcoming film "Dangal" at a special screening on her 66th birthday. She said it was the best birthday gift for her.
Shabana, who turned a year older on Sunday, also praised the film's lead actor Aamir Khan, director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Kiran Rao.
"Watching 'Dangal' is the best birthday gift I could get. Thank you Aamir Khan, Nitesh Tiwari, Kiran Rao, Fatima, Sana ... you are outstanding," Shabana tweeted on Monday morning.
"Dangal" is a biographical sports drama film directed by Tiwari, who previously helmed popular films like "Chillar Party" and "Bhootnath Returns".
The film features Aamir portraying the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat, who taught wrestling to his daughters Babita Kumari and Geeta Phogat. He will be seen playing both younger and older characters of Phogat in the film, and he had put on weight up to 95 kg to play the older part and is currently in the process of bringing it down to around 70 kg.
