London, Aug 4 (IANS/CMC) Bermudian striker Nahki Wells started the new English League One season by grabbing a first-half goal as promoted Bradford City earned a 2-2 draw against relegated Bristol City.
Wells, 23, went close when his fifth-minute header hit a post. But he made no mistake in the 33rd minute, rifling home a left-foot finish after goalkeeper Frankie Fielding was caught out of position Saturday, reports CMC.
Wells' strike cancelled out Scott Wagstaff's 13th-minute opener from Jay Emmanuel-Thomas's pass.
Emmanuel-Thomas put Bristol City back in front with a strong finish on 58 minutes after the Bradford defence sat back.
Rory McArdle earned the visitors a point with a header from Raffaele De Vita's corner six minutes from time.
