The Enforcement Directorate on Thursday questioned West Bengal Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim in connection with the Narada sting probe, an official said.
"He has appeared before our investigating team and was interrogated today (Thursday) as a part of Narada sting probe," an ED official said.A
The Trinamool Congress leader was allegedly caught on video tape while asking for money to be given to one of his accomplices in exchange for a promise to dole out favours to a fictitious company. The clipping was uploaded on the Narada news portal in March last year ahead of the assembly elections in West Bengal.
Apart from Hakim, state Transport Minister Suvendu Adhikari and Panchayats, Rural Development and Public Health Engineering Minister Subrata Mukherjee were also summoned by the investigating agency.
The agency had also asked Kolkata Mayor and state Minister Sovan Chatterjee to appear before it.
Party MP Sultan Ahmed and city's Deputy Mayor Iqbal Ahmed were also interogated by the ED in connection with the case.
