Norwich City on Thursday announced that the English football club has agreed to a deal to sign West Ham United winger Matt Jarvis on a three-and-a-half-year contract from Saturday for an undisclosed fee.

"The 29-year-old joined the Canaries on loan at the start of September, and is set to join the Club permanently when the January transfer window opens," Norwich said in a statement.

Jarvis has made seven appearances for Norwich to date, scoring twice -- including on his debut during a 3-1 English Premier League (EPL) victory over Bournemouth.

"I've really enjoyed my time here so far so I'm delighted to sign on the dotted line," Jarvis told Norwich's website after agreeing terms to remain with the club.

"It's nice to get it done before the window opens as the club has shown it really wanted me. I had a great start here and hopefully I'll be back up-and-running soon for the rest of the season," the England international added.

Having concluded a deal for Jarvis, City boss Alex Neil added: "Matt is a good competitor and a good team player.

"He'll give us pace on the other flank which I don't think we've had. Only a few years ago he commanded a transfer fee of over 10 million euros (around $10.94 million) and as a player he has a lot to offer."
