US-based data storage company Western Digital Corporation on Thursday launched its My Cloud EX2 Ultra storage system -- a high-performance, two-bay cloud-based system.
My Cloud EX2 Ultra (diskless) Network Attached Storage (NAS) system will be available with select Indian retailers at Rs 17,499 while the 4TB variant will cost Rs 35,499.
The device is designed for creative professionals who need to automatically synchronise content across computers, easily share files and folders and enjoy multiple backup options so that they can create their own personalised digital library with ease.
"Running WD's My Cloud OS 3 software, the WD My Cloud EX2 UItra makes it possible to access your data anywhere in the world with an internet connection. It's the perfect solution for anyone looking for a high performance NAS system," said Khalid Wani, Director, Content Solutions Business, India, Middle East and Africa, WD, in a statement.
My Cloud EX2 Ultra comes with 1.3GHz dual-core processor paired up with 1GB of RAM, allowing them to multitask with ease and leverage applications for HD media streaming, surveillance and much more.
With simplified file and folder sharing, users can send customised, private links that allow recipients read or write access to particular files on the user's My Cloud EX2 Ultra.
