Urban Development Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu Friday wondered why anyone should object when the prime minister of the nation talks to students.
Speaking to reporters here, he queried what is wrong in prime minister interacting with the students but said there are "doubting Thomas" in every place.
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's interaction with students and teachers across the nation Friday on the occasion of Teachers' Day, he said: "The leader inspires and the country moves forward."
"We have Children's Day celebrated on a particular leader's birthday (Jawaharlal Nehru) and why should there be an objection if the prime minister speaks to students," Naidu posed.
