Actress Tamannaah Bhatia was Friday mobbed by anti-Telangana activists here and was asked to comment on the separation of the state. However, the actress refused to oblige.

"She was on her way to the sets of Ajith Kumar's upcoming Tamil film. Her car was stopped while she was heading towards Odisha from Vizag (Vishakhapatnam) by a group of anti-Telangana activists and was asked to chant slogan in favour of Andhra Pradesh," a source from the film's unit told IANS.

"Her father told us about the incident. Apparently, neither did Tamannaah chant the slogan nor supported the division of the state. She told them that she treats everybody alike and didn't want to comment on the issue. They didn't cause any trouble and let her go when she refused to comment," he added.

On July 30, it was announced that Andhra Pradesh would be divided to carve out a separate Telangana state.

Tamannaah, who is known for her Telugu films such as "Happy Days" and "100% Love", was last seen in Telugu romantic-drama "Tadakha" opposite Akkineni Naga Chaitanya.

She will soon be seen opposite Mahesh Babu in "Aagadu".
