The former boy-band One Direction had a sour experience with US President Donald Trump when he kicked them out of his hotel for not meeting his daughter.
Singer Liam Payne, a member of the band, told Rollacoaster magazine that Trump called up the band's manager and did not let the band use the hotel's underground garage, reports aceshowbiz.com.
"Donald Trump kicked us out of his hotel once. You wouldn't believe it. It was about meeting his daughter. He phoned up our manager and we were asleep. He said, 'Well wake them up', and I was like, 'No,' and then he wouldn't let us use the underground garage," Payne said.
"Obviously in New York we can't really go outside. New York is ruthless for us. So he was like 'Okay, I don't want you in my hotel.' So we had to leave," he added.
The 23-year-old singer also spoke about his friendship with singer Justin Bieber.
"He's a great guy. Inside there's a really good heart," Payne said.
