If questions asked politely can help elicit good and desired answers, then why go for harsh ones, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked Tuesday.
Participating in a function organised to celebrate 21 years of 'Aap Ki Adalat' anchored by well-known TV personality Rajat Sharma, the prime minister said he has seen and read lots of interviews where "only the tongue works" but this particular programme has the "heart involved" in it.
"It can be an example in the world of journalism," Modi said, appreciating the spirit of the news progamme.
Addressing the gathering, President Pranab Mukerjee said "Aap Ki Adalat" has helped to strengthen the country's democracy.
He said the anchor who plays a prosecutor without having any formal degree in law is the public prosecutor of the country.
Hundreds of celebrities, ministers and others attended the programme.
