Singer Lily Allen has slammed the Grammy Awards for not considering singer Lorde's "Royals" in the best new artist category.
Allen is not happy with the music awards for overlooking the 17-year-old singer from New Zealand in the category that recognises new talent, reports contactmusic.com.
Lorde has missed out on a best new artist nomination, but she is nominated for four awards including record of the year and song of the year for her hit single "Royals".
She expressed her thoughts through her tweet Sunday and wrote: "Sometimes I think the Grammy voters like to say, 'Well, let's see what else you have before we say you're the best new artist.' At which point she won't be a new artist! what crap."
The 56th Annual Grammy Awards will be held in January.
