Union Minister Rao Inderjeet Singh on Tuesday said he would remind Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari of his promise of getting the Kherki Daula toll plaza on Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway shifted.
Speaking to villagers here, the union minister of state for planning (Independent charge) and defence assured people that he would make efforts to shift the Kherki Daula toll plaza and also remind Gadkari about it during parliament session.
Singh was hearing public grievances in Gurgaon at the Bharatiya Janata Party office located on Southern Periperial Road (SPR) here.
Singh said last year when he with Gadkari and Krishan Pal Gujjar, who was then the minister of state for road transport and highways, inspected the Delhi-Jaipur Highway, Gadkari promised to remove the Delhi-Gurgaon border toll, which has been done, and to shift Kherki Daula toll plaza.
"I will again remind Gadkari about his promise," he said.
Singh said the toll plaza posed a hindrance for industrialists and other employees of corporate companies in IMT Manesar area because of constant traffic jam there.
