More than 50 cancer survivors met Saturday to share their joys and experiences at the Winners' Meet organised by the Aligarh Muslim University's J.N. Medical College's radiotherapy department.

The theme of the programme was "Life After Cancer".

Sabiha Simi Shah, wife of AMU Vice Chancellor, Lt.Gen. Z.U.Shah, said cancer should not be taken as a death certificate as it could be treated if patients reached cancer specialists in the early stages. She congratulated all participants of the meet.

Earlier, welcoming the guests, Tariq Mansoor, principal and chief medical superintendent, JNMC said it was his duty to provide better facilities to the patients.

He said he was committed to bring positive changes in the college administration with the cooperation of faculty members and other paramedical staff.
