Washington Wizards reached a five-player deal with Phoenix Suns, trading their starting centre Emeka Okafor for Marcin Gortat.
The Wizards got Shannon Brown, Malcolm Lee and Kendall Marshall besides Gortat through the deal, and the Suns received Okafor, reports Xinhua.
Okafor had been out indefinitely because of neck injury, and the arrival of Gortat was considered as a positive move for the Wizards' rush towards the playoffs.
The 29-year-old Gortat got 11.1 points and 8.5 rebounds for the Suns last season.
