A woman died of injuries Tuesday after being stabbed and burnt by miscreants in Odisha's Ganjam district who wanted her to stop running a fair price shop, police said.
Police have arrested four people and launched a hunt to nab another suspect.
According to police, the miscreants attacked Pranati Das, 30, at Rambha town, about 150 km from state capital Bhubaneswar, Monday evening when she was on her way home.
The attackers stabbed her and then set her afire after pouring kerosene on her. A few passersby took her to a hospital.
As her condition deteriorated, she was shifted to a hospital in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh where she died due to injuries.
Das used to run a fair price shop that sold kerosene, ration and other household items at subsidised prices. She had received threats in the past as well.
