The decomposed body of a 30-year-old woman was found inside her house here on Tuesday, police said, adding that her husband was the prime suspect.
The body of Renu Devi was found by her father who visited her house in Govindpuri area in south Delhi in the morning.
Police said her father felt something amiss as he found the door of the house locked.
"The victim's father took help of some neighbours and they broke open the door. Foul smell was emanating from the body," said a police officer.
Police said they suspect the husband, as he was missing along with the couple's two-and-half-year-old daughter.
Neighbours said Renu was residing there in a rented accommodation for several years.
