Savita Kumari of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was presented a 'Sword of Honour' at a passing out parade Friday after being selected the best all-round trainee.
A grand and colourful passing out parade of 133 officers, including six women, was organised at the CRPF Gurgaon academy at Kadarpur, eight kilometres from here.
Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda was the chief guest at the event. CRPF director general Dilip Trivedi was also present.
A total of 18 paratroopers were awarded trophies.
Savita Kumari is the first woman officer from the Gurgaon academy to win the "Sword of Honour".
"Savita has proved that India is headed towards women empowerment. She has set a new example for women willing to join forces. It's a big message for everyone," Trivedi told IANS.
