A 65-year-old woman was found dead at the Hauz Khas lake here on Friday, police said.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Chinmoy Biswal told IANS that the deceased was Veermati, widow of a Delhi Transport Corporation employee.
She was identified by her son Ashok Kumar, who said she used to visit the park which houses the lake for morning walk.
"No visible injury marks were found on the body. The woman's family does not suspect foul play. Prima facie, the death is due to drowning," the officer said.
