A 29-year-old woman was strangled and her three-year-old son abducted by two unidentified men who barged into her house here Saturday morning, police said, hinting at personal enmity being behind the crime.
Mohi was with her three-year-old son and maid Beena when the two culprits, who came on a motorcycle, barged into her house at New Ashok Nagar area in east Delhi, police said.
"The abductors overpowered Beena and tried to do the same to Mohi but she was strangled with a plastic wire as she resisted. They put the body into the storage container of a bed and took away with boy," said a police officer.
After the culprits left, Beena went to the shop of Mohi's husband, Inam, to tell him about the incident, the officer said. Police were informed subsequently.
Police said the incident seemed linked to personal enmity. However, a few valuables found to be missing from the house.
Mohi and Inam got married four years ago.
