Warner Bros Studios is planning to present superheroine Wonder Woman in the upcoming "Man Of Steel" sequel.

Greg Silverman, president of creative development, said that the studio is taking the character "very seriously".

"We have been doing a lot of thinking for years about how to best use all those characters. Wonder Woman is an amazing character. I think it's a great opportunity both for box office success, but also to have an amazingly powerful female superhero," Silverman told variety.com.

"We are taking it all very seriously and are trying to do a plan that's respectful to those characters and maximises the stories as best they can. So everything that has been speculated are things that we've thought about," he added.

The character of Wonder Woman was portrayed by actress Lynda Carter between 1975 and 1979.

The "Man Of Steel" will see Batman and Superman together for the first time on the big screen. Ben Affleck will play Batman, while Henry Cavill will feature as Superman.
