Music composer Lalit Pandit says working on the track "Namami devi Narmade", the official song for the Madhya Pradesh Government as a part of the Narmada Seva Mission, was a wonderful opportunity.
He is glad that he got a chance to work with "great artists like Prasoon Joshi, Pandit Jasraj, Durga Jasraj".
While Joshi has penned the lyrics to the song, which was released on social media earlier this week, musicians Pandit Jasraj, Hariharan, Shaan, Javed Ali, Mahalakshmi Iyer, Vijay Ghate, Palak Muchhal, Aishwarya Majmudar among others have featured in the video.
"We should always contribute to the society as much as we can. I thought it is a wonderful opportunity to be a part of Narmada yatra with some of the great artists like Prasoon Joshi, Pandit Jasraj, Durga Jasraj and others," Pandit, who is known for projects like "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham...", "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" and "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" told IANS via email.
He added: "I have been following and reading about Narmada since the time I have done the movie 'Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikander'.
The composer also said that they "all got together and did the music which has all our hearts to it".
