Veteran writer-lyricist Javed Akhtar feels words are known by the company they keep and people should think twice before speaking.
"Just like friends, words are known by the company they keep. By looking at the words, you can tell if the sentence is negative or positive. Thus, we must choose are words carefully because every word has a reaction," Akhtar said on Shah Rukh Khan's show "TED Talks India Nayi Soch".
The episode featuring Akhtar will be aired on Star Plus.

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev gifted a cow to a contestant named Bishal Sharma on dance reality show "Super Dancer Chapter 2" after he heard about his struggles in life.
"I love cows just like Bishal loves them. I feel blessed to know that his parents sold their cow which was their sole bread and butter for Bishal's future and career," Ramdev said in a statement.
"I truly thank this show and the platform to lend that support to this little child. In my own way, I chose to gift Bishal a cow and a cart so that he keeps the motivation (level) up and performs the way he does.
"I could also relate to him as I myself have a 'Gaushala' in Assam. I will make sure Bishal gets food to feed the cow," he added.
"Super Dancer Chapter 2" is aired on Sony Entertainment Television.

Prakash Ramchandani joins 'Kaal Bhairav Rahasya'
Actor Prakash Ramchandani has been roped in to play the role of Yashpal in TV show "Kaal Bhairav Rahasya".
"I am extremely happy and excited taking up this new show. My role is very challenging. There are a lot of twists and turns in the story and the character that I am playing is exciting me a lot," Prakash said in a statement.
"I ensure that the audience will love the role. The cast and crew that I am working with is very helpful. Dharmesh, the director of the show, is my old friend and I am glad that I again got an opportunity to work with him," he added.
Prakash has previously appeared in shows like "C.I.D." and "Adaalat".
"Kaal Bhairav Rahasya" is aired on Star Bharat.
