Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq has said he is willing to conduct experiments with the squad with the aim of making a strong showing at the upcoming 2015 World Cup.
Pakistan are currently leading against New Zealand 1-0 in a five-match One-Day International (ODI) series. They are scheduled to play the second match at Sharjah.
"Yes, we know we have quite a few players who have been knocking at the doors since long. It is the right time for experiments, therefore, we tried some young bloods who proved their mettle and strengthened their place in the team," Misbah was quoted as saying by The Nation Wednesday.
Misbah said he has identified the absence of a bowler in his team and is trying, through his experiments, to find the sixth bowler who can contribute with the bat also lower down the order.
"World Cup is our ultimate goal and we are short of a bowler and need at least six bowlers who may also bat and hit some useful runs."
