Oscar-winning actress Alicia Vikander, who has landed the role of Lara Croft in the "Tomb Raider" reboot, has praised Angelina Jolie -- who played the part in the original -- and says she wants to meet her.
"That is a woman I would love to meet. She made an icon of that character, of course. She's quite an incredible woman. I would love to meet her," Vikander told eonline.com
However, she won't be asking Jolie for any advice.
"What we're doing is something quite different since they rebooted the game in 2013. It's a whole new take. We're doing a film of that game," she said.
Vikander had earlier shared that she cannot wait to get started on the movie, which will tell the origin story of the adventurous archaeologist.
"I mean, for me, I'm so excited to do it. She was such an icon, I played the game when I was a kid, but they rebooted the game a few years ago so it is now becoming more of an origins story. So it's quite different," she said.
