IANS New Delhi

The sole surviving soldier in the Jammu and Kashmir ambush is being treated in Jammu and not at the trauma centre of AIIMS here as was stated by a hospital spokesperson.

Trauma centre chief M.C. Mishra had also told IANS that the soldier was in the intensive care unit.

It later transpired that Mishra and the trauma centre spokesperson were referring to a Border Security Force trooper who too had been brought from Jammu and Kashmir.

Terrorists, some in Pakistani army uniform, early Tuesday ambushed and shot dead five Indian soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir close to the Line of Control. A sixth soldier was wounded in the attack.
