Japanese sports equipment manufacturer Yonex was on Wednesday named as the equipment partner for the Premier Badminton League (PBL) which is scheduled to commence from January 2.
Under the partnership, Yonex will provide the teams with racquets, shuttlecocks and team jersey, according to a release.
"I, on behalf of the Premier Badminton League, welcome Yonex on board. Yonex has shown their support toward the Badminton Association of India for the last two decades and I am happy to announce this association with them. We have always strived to get the best on board the League and this is yet another proof to that," PBL chairman Akhilesh Das Gupta said in a release.
Speaking on the association, Yonex India head Vikram Dhar said: "We are excited to be associated with PBL. Badminton has always given us many reasons to rejoice and this is all because of the players who have won laurels for the country and made us proud of them."
