Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane was pleased with his side's performance despite the capital football giants being held to a 2-2 draw by Las Palmas at the Estadio de Gran Canaria in the La Liga.

Marco Asensio and Karim Benzema scored for Real Madrid on Saturday. But the hosts levelled through Tana and Sergio Araujo -- tha latter scoring barely five minutes from regulation time.

"What I least liked about our performance were the two goals that we conceded, but we put in a good display right until the end. We had a tough first half on Wednesday and that wasn't the case today," Zidane told his club's website on Saturday.

"We played well, created a lot of chances and we just lacked that concentration in the dying stages," the Frenchman added.

"The game was under control. We won't be throwing the towel in, we'll continue to work hard. I'm pleased with the side's display. From the first minute to the last we dictated the game and we had a great number of chances. I don't think we lacked any desire."

Despite the draw, Real continue to top the La Liga with 14 points from six matches.
