French football legend Zinedine Zidane unveiled the official ball of Euro 2016, which will be hosted by France next year.
The ball, named Beau Jeu, will be used in the group stage but not in the final rounds, reports Efe.
Zidane said on his Instagram account on Thursday the design of the ball, a creation of the German apparel brand Adidas, is closely linked to the country organising the competition, France.
The former French champion explained that it uses the blue, white and red colors of the French flag, while integrating silver accents reminiscent of the desired trophy, and has the letters "E U R O" and the numbers "2-0-1-6" written on it.
"Developed by Adidas for over 18 months, Beau Jeu includes the best elements of the Brazuca FIFA World Cup match ball from summer 2014," said UEFA.com about the new ball on Thursday.
Teams will begin to test the ball later this November.
