'Blaming the flop show on CPI'

The much-publicised jail bharo movement of the Left parties might have been a success in other parts of the country, but in Delhi, it was a flop show. Only a few hundred people participated, even as the movement was led by none other than CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat. Party insiders blame the CPI managers for the lacklustre show, as the party has more strength in the city. Nevertheless, the Left parties now plan an all-India strike on price rise in the next month. The strategy will be finalised in a meeting on April 12.
