Our diplomat friend, a high commissioner in Colombo, was visiting New Delhi, a city he had served in earlier as an envoy, as had his wife. They had come to attend a wedding in Udaipur and were in the capital for a few days. Could we meet? My wife immediately summoned them home for dinner.
