Taking a jab at his sartorial preferences, Congress party member Raj Babbar called Prime Minister Narendra Modi "paridhan mantri" (dress minister) while speaking at a press meet in Patna last week. He criticised Modi for not visiting areas facing severe agrarian crisis and said the prime minister had "time to click selfies, but no time for farmers". The actor-cum-politician is among a battery of senior Congress leaders and former Union ministers who are visiting state capitals and key towns and attacking the government on its performance. As Chinese Whispers told you last week, these visits are part of a Congress plan to discredit the government as it gets ready to celebrate a year in office on May 26.
